Schecter Serial Number Identification
Chevy Serial Number Identification
UPDATE: Turns out this is an early Dallas era schecter. Was able to identify with the help of Tom Anderson, whose pickups will be used if the original cannot be salvaged, and by the presence of Japanese pots, serial numbers, and catalogs.
http://imgur.com/a/JD9WT Super excited about today's find, Mark Knopfler is my hero and he played Schecter dream machines in the 1980s so when I saw this I jumped at it....and to make things more awesome it was surprsingly affordable (probably due to the damage).
Strat was purchased by the previous (reliable) owner in 1989, it was damaged during a fire in 1994 and hasn't been used since.
The serial number is C 0200 and I am trying to determine when and where it was made.
I intend to refinish and would love color ideas. The gold hardware will probably (95% sure) have to go and the pickguard doesn't have to stay black.
Schecter serial number lookup I bought a schecter out of impulse, but have no idea what model it is, and cant find anything that looks like it. Number is H0604710. I've just bought my first guitar for $300, it says 'Schecter diamond series' on the neck, but I can't find serial number anywhere on the guitar(I unscrewed the neck plate, but there too was no SN). Do all guitars have serial numbers? Is my guitar fake? (Also, if it is fake, why not fake SN as well?).
The pickups do work and sound awesome, but the gold covers have to go so I may have to have the pickups rewound.
